Art Night is an all-night free contemporary arts festival. Originally inspired by the Nuit Blanche, an all-night arts festival created in Paris, 2002, the first edition of Art Night presented ten artists’ works and new commissions in iconic and unusual locations across Westminster, including six new site-specific commissions, featured in a cross-disciplinary programme of art, architecture, dance, design and music.
At Two Temple Place, Alexandra Bachzetsis presented a brand-new performance entitled “PRIVATE: Wear a mask when you talk to me”. The work playfully combined everyday gendered behaviours with languages of movement and music such as Oriental drag queen dances, gym, yoga exercises, iconic Michael Jackson moves and choreography by pioneer of contemporary dance Trisha Brown.
