Our shop will be open and running throughout! Help us and small independent craftspeople by buying something gorgeous on your way out!
We very sadly aren’t running our usual café this year, to ensure that we can look after visitors safely. But there are loads of place to pick something up, or sit down for something more substantial. Here are just a few independent bars and cafés nearby… The team will be happy to talk to you about directions and insider info about the area! Have a great day!
If you continue up Essex Street via the steps behind us, you’ll reach convivial hostelries the Edgar Wallace and the Cheshire Cheese. Right from them takes you into the beautiful grounds of Middle Temple and their Chambers, and in there The Garden Room has lovely views of the Gardens. At the top of Essex Street, the takeaway-only sandwich shop Brunel will do you a proper old school sarnie. A quick right takes you to the George Pub on The Strand for solid pub grub. Somerset House, with its various café and more formal options are a five minute walk from us. There are plenty of chains if imagination fails you, and, of course, the fleshpots of Covent Garden and Fleet Street are only metres further.
And if you are interested in our community programme contact email@example.com to tell us how we might be useful to you.
