Westminster City Lions

City Lions breaks barriers by bringing together Westminster’s young people (13 – 16yrs) and creative partners to provide inspiring opportunities that enhance personal and social wellbeing, along with future aspirations. They do this via holiday programmes, mentoring, work experience, free tickets and careers workshops.

Two Temple Place have been working with City Lions for several years, offering workshops,  careers conversations and space for launch events.

In December 2024 Two Temple Place hosted their mentoring conference where 56 mentor pairs were welcomed into the City Lions mentoring programme, enjoying creative activities and a tour of our building and using every corner of our space to hold their conversations.

In the summer of 2023, Two Temple Place collaborated with Westminster City Lions, DreamArts and Les Enfants Terribles to support 20 young people, aged 13-16, to work together over 11 days to create an immersive theatre project.

The takeover project saw the young people develop, design and perform their own theatre production to an audience of friends and family, our partners and the public. Over the course of 11 days, with the support of staff from across the partners, young people were able to allocate themselves to one of four teams within the production: lighting and sound design, performance, marketing, and the creative team. The thrilling outcome, set in the beautiful setting of Two Temple Place, transported the audiences through a murder mystery tale! Those lucky enough to watch the show had the chance to immerse themselves in the production, discovering clues and solving the mystery. The three performances were enjoyed by close to 100 audience members.
