We rely on our fantastic team of friendly and dedicated volunteers to make our exhibitions a success.

Our volunteers take on a public-facing role that includes supervising the exhibition spaces and answering visitor questions. We pride ourselves on the friendly reception that we offer our visitors so if you can provide a warm welcome and would like to help visitors find their way around our magnificent building, then we would love to hear from you! We look for volunteers who are, ideally, able to commit to at least one shift (three to four hours) per week during our exhibition period, which is January – April, but we are happy to discuss individual needs where possible and therefore encourage applications from everyone.

Please note that our official recruitment period is October-November but we do welcome e-mail enquiries and applications before this time. Volunteering open sessions are held in November / December and training takes place in January.

The Bulldog Trust provides a paid internship opportunity each year as part of our Winter Exhibition Programme. The Education and Events Coordinator position offers an intern valuable work experience and an insight into how events and education projects are run in a small but busy exhibition space.

The employment term is usually from September to April and recruitment commences around August. The internship will be listed on our Vacancies page.
