Wednesday Lates – Live Music: with Moussa Dembele
Musician Moussa Dembele comes from generations of traditional Bwa Bwa Griot musicians from Burkina Faso and Mali who have been making and playing musical instruments for generations. He was trained by his father and various family members from a young age and has gone on to become a professional musician and teacher as well as a master craftsman of West African instruments all of which he has done for the last 25 years. In addition to the Balafon, he also plays the Kora and Ngoni and percussion including Djembe, Doum Doum and Talking Drum.
Dembele has toured extensively throughout the world and has recorded with Afriquoi and for Beyonce, and plays Balafon, Kora, Ngoni and more!
The Wednesday Late Music series has been curated by Cam Hinds for Two Temple Place alongside our current exhibition, Lives Less Ordinary.
The evenings are set up as live background music while you explore the exhibition and the building house.
Music from 6.30 – 8.30 (including breaks). The building closes at 9pm. A small bar will be available in our shop. The music evenings are free to attend and no booking required.
