Wednesday Late – Live Music: with Shniece McMenamin

Shniece McMenamin is a singer, songwriter and performer who was part of the Drizabone Soul Family touring for the best part of a decade  supporting acts like Chaka Kahn, Chic & Nile Rodgers, Sister Sledge, Jocelyn Brown, Candi Staton, Aswad and Eliza Doolittle.

After completing a Music degree specialised in Vocals, Shniece worked as a session vocalist and top line writer for LoopMasters and DrumDrops, writing over 30 vocal sample packs on labels, Vital Vocals and most recently, Monster Sounds.

As a session vocalist & live performer, singing both lead and backing vocals, Shniece has worked with the likes of Prince Fatty, Monkey Jhayam (Brazil), Fatlip (Pharcyde) Mungos HiFi, Shirley Jones (The Jones Girls), Omar, Earl 16, The Last Poets, David Morales, and has toured Brazil with Prince Fatty and Monkey Jhayam.

Shniece also sings with a Big Jazz Band, Jazz Colossus and 25 piece Orchestra, Symphonica ft Mr Switch (IBIZA ORCHESTRA) and has been involved in many function bands with a Repertoire of over 500 songs.

Shniece released her first debut EP “Disco Deception” with Prince Fatty in June of 2020, then released singles ‘Funkin’ For Jamaica (NY)’ and ‘Black Rabbit’. They received plays on BBC Radio, including, Craig Charles, Huey Morgan, Don Letts and David Rodigan shows.

The Wednesday Late Music series has been curated by Camelle Hinds for Two Temple Place alongside our current exhibition, Lives Less Ordinary.

The evenings are set up as live background music while you explore the exhibition and the building house. Shniece will be singing Acapella at Two temple Place.

Music from 6.30 – 8.30 (including breaks). The building closes at 9pm. A small bar will be available in our shop. The music evenings are free to attend and no booking required.
