Wednesday Late Music: Orphy Robinson

Join us for an evening of music with a performance by Orphy Robinson.

Orphy Robinson is a multi- Instrumentalist signed to the legendary “Blue Note” label. He is a founder member of the “Jazz Warriors”, with his career spanning 40+ years. Featured recordings include award-winning album performances with internationally acclaimed Artists such as Nigel Kennedy, Carleen Anderson, Hugh Masekela, Robert Plant, Thurston Moore and Robert Wyatt. Since 2020, Orphy has been Chair of the Jazz genre committee. In 2018, he was awarded an MBE for services to music.

This event has been programmed as part of a series of music evenings curated by musician and producer, Camelle Hinds, to accompany the exhibition Body Vessel Clay: Black Women, Ceramics & Contemporary Art. For more public events, please click here.
