‘Lives Less Ordinary’ Zine Making: with Tarla Patel!

The Lives Less Ordinary exhibition shows us that we all have important stories to tell and show.

Exhibiting four of the Masterji photographs in this exhibition, Tarla’s father’s photographs tell a story of individuals and families that visited his community studio in Coventry.

On Wednesday 16th April 6 to 8pm, join Tarla to make your very own creative family or self portrait through a zine or postcard.

A Zine is a small self-publication, a booklet that can be made independently or in a group. It can be made with a simple A4 piece. It can be used to share information about interests, art to activism and music, by individuals, communities and groups. They can be neat, wild and rebellious. They are easy to make, and can be easily made at home, they can be fun or thoughtful.

The workshop is intergeneration, open to adults and children 5+ with the help of a parent/guardian.

Tarla Patel is an artist from Coventry. She works with film, photography, sound and new media.
